Quiz answers and results

Quiz answers and results are processed only for the active quiz session. Depending on how the interactive page loads, your choices may be handled in your browser or pass through a temporary live server connection. YakoQuiz does not save them in an account or server-side database.

Completed quiz markers

While a quiz is open, YakoQuiz can temporarily keep its question order and answers in that browser tab so a reload does not erase your place. Closing the tab clears that active session. When you finish, YakoQuiz saves only the quiz identifier in this browser so the home page can mark it as completed. YakoQuiz does not keep your answers, score, or result in an account, saved profile, or server-side database. Clearing YakoQuiz site data resets the completed markers.

Advertising and Google AdSense

YakoQuiz may display advertising through Google AdSense. When Google advertising services are active, Google and its advertising partners may collect, share, and use information from your visit to provide and measure ads, maintain their services, and prevent fraud and abuse. This information may include the page you visit, your IP address, browser or device information, and other identifiers.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons and IP addresses to collect information as a result of ads being served on YakoQuiz. Depending on your consent, Google account settings, and applicable law, these technologies may also be used to personalize advertising.

Advertising consent and choices

When advertising is active, YakoQuiz uses a Google-certified consent management platform for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland where required. The consent message allows you to accept, refuse, or manage the available advertising choices before relevant cookies or personalized advertising are used.

When Google Analytics is active, the same consent platform also communicates your analytics choice to Google's Consent Mode. Analytics storage remains denied unless the consent platform records permission for analytics cookies.

You can also manage Google ad personalization in Google's ad settings and control cookies through your browser. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent non-personalized or limited ads from being shown.

Quiz participation analytics

When enabled, YakoQuiz records anonymous quiz page openings and attempts to understand which quizzes are viewed, started, and completed. Page openings receive a random identifier that can link that opening to its quiz attempts. Records include the quiz identifier, timestamps, the number of core questions responded to, completion status, a broad screen-size category, and the referring site's hostname. These support summaries of unfinished progress, elapsed completion time, and traffic sources. Records do not contain your answers, scores, result, name, email address, IP address, full referring URL, or a persistent visitor identifier. Retaking a quiz creates a separate attempt; these records do not identify unique people.

In the browser, page-opening identifiers remain in memory only and are not saved to persistent storage. The attempt identifier is included in the quiz's existing temporary tab recovery data so continuing after a reload does not count as a new start. Individual records are kept for up to 90 days and are available only through a password-protected dashboard. This collection respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals.

Google Analytics

When enabled, YakoQuiz uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and quiz topics are visited, how visitors arrive at and move through the site, broad device and browser categories, and site engagement. YakoQuiz sends the known canonical page path and title but removes query strings and fragments, groups unknown routes under /not-found, and limits an initial external referrer to its site origin. Shared-result parameters and visitor-supplied paths are therefore not included. Quiz answers, scores, result details, names, and email addresses are not configured as analytics events.

The Google tag starts with analytics and advertising storage denied. Before you consent, or if you refuse, it does not read or write analytics cookies, although Google may still receive cookieless measurement and consent-status signals. If you allow analytics through Google's consent message, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish visits and sessions.

Analytics information may include the page path, referrer path, visit time, consent state, approximate location derived from the IP address, and browser or device information. You can refuse or withdraw analytics consent through the Google privacy choices shown on the site and can clear YakoQuiz site data in your browser.

Newsletter subscriptions

If you subscribe to YakoQuiz Weekly Quiz, the email address you enter is sent directly to Get a Newsletter Scandinavia AB, which manages the mailing list for Yakoru AB. YakoQuiz does not keep a separate local copy of the mailing list.

The newsletter contains one email each week featuring the newest YakoQuiz quiz. Get a Newsletter may process your email address, subscription and confirmation status and timestamps, delivery and bounce information, unsubscribe activity, and email open and link-click information to operate and measure the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent.

Get a Newsletter states that customer data is stored on servers in Sweden or elsewhere in the European Union. Your address remains on the mailing list until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, subject to limited suppression or consent records needed to respect an opt-out or demonstrate the request. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.

You can withdraw consent at any time by using that unsubscribe link. You may also email contact@yakoru.se to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, or to object to processing. You may lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). Read Get a Newsletter's privacy policy.

Your choices

You can use every quiz without creating an account. Because quiz answers and results are not stored, YakoQuiz does not keep a saved quiz profile about you.
